SP-ASCrypto · Atibaia, Brazil
Led by Ricardo Dahab, the São Paulo Advanced School of Cryptography was held October 20–26. FAPESP reported 111 confirmed students from Brazil and abroad.
The schools surrounding LATINCRYPT form an educational pathway: introductory programs bring new students into modern cryptography, while ASCrypto offers deeper research-level training for advanced students and early-career researchers.
The educational side of the community began soon after the first LATINCRYPT. In 2011, the São Paulo Advanced School of Cryptography brought students together in Atibaia, Brazil, with the ambition of creating a school series that would alternate with LATINCRYPT.

In several recent editions, organizers have held ASCrypto during the two days immediately preceding LATINCRYPT, giving graduate students and early-career researchers direct access to focused advanced lectures.
Beginning in 2023, the community added a second kind of school designed for a broader local audience, complementing ASCrypto's advanced focus.
Criptolatinos organized a two-day introductory school immediately before ASCrypto and LATINCRYPT. Its program covered mathematical foundations, symmetric cryptography, elliptic curves, privacy, and post-quantum cryptography, with more than 200 undergraduate and graduate students attending.
The introductory model continued in Medellín with CatíoCrypto, held September 26–27 at EAFIT before the 2025 conference activities.
One community, two complementary doors: advanced research training for emerging cryptographers, and introductory schools for students discovering the field.
LATINCRYPT educational ecosystemSchool information for the next edition will be added here as the program is confirmed. The long-term goal is to keep conference and school information together in one permanent home.
